Yturralde shoots even 72 to finish T30th
NAPA, Calif. – Central Michigan Men's Golf shot an improved 296 (+8) as a team on Tuesday during the final round of the inaugural Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational at the Silverado Resort.
The Chippewas finished with a 902 total (+38), which tied for 9th with Florida A&M. CMU shot 301 – 305 on Monday.
Philippe Yturralde shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday to finish tied for 30th. The sophomore shot 75 and 76 on Monday.
Arie Jackman carded 1-under 71 in round three, combined with Monday's 74 and 79 to finish tied for 35th.
Orlando Coons turned in 76-75-75 through three rounds, finishing tied for 39th.
Jeffrey Andrus finished tied for 51st; Easton Phillips finished tied for 58th.
Brigham Young shot 1-under 852 to claim the tournament team title, with the Cougars' Cooper Jones winning the individual title. Jones shot 69-67-73 to finish with a 7-under 209.
The Chippewas will be back in action on Monday, April 1 at the Seattle U. Redhawk Invitational at the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash.
