It marks the seventh consecutive year that the CMU women have garnered the honor, and the sixth consecutive year that the men have. It is the 13th time in the last 14 years the the Chippewa women have been so honored.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-MAC, a runner must maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and participate in 50 percent of the races on his or her team’s schedule.
In the women’s race, junior Megan O’Neil, who was been a model of consistency for the Chippewas over the past three seasons, led the team with a 48th-place finish out of 223 entries.
The CMU women will run at 11:15 a.m. followed at 12:15 p.m. by the men in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course at Indiana State University.
