MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Jordan Bueter was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week for volleyball.
Bueter, a 6-foot senior from South Bend, Ind., posted 34 kills and 19 digs in helping lead the Chippewas to MAC victories last weekend over Northern Illinois and Western Michigan.
Bueter finished the weekend, during which the Chippewas dropped just one set, with a .273 attack percentage. She averaged 4.86 kills per set in the two matches.
Bueter leads the MAC in kills (4.04) and points (4.67) and ranks third in aces (37).
It marks the third time this season and the fourth time in her career that Bueter has earned the league’s West Division weekly player of the week honor.
CMU, which has won five consecutive matches, is 15-11, 7-7 MAC. The Chippewas are tied for second place in the West Division and are in a three-way tie for sixth place overall in the league standings.
CMU plays host to Eastern Michigan on Thursday, Nov. 9 (7 p.m.) in its home finale and then goes to Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 11, for its regular-season finale.
