Jessica Bracamonte is in her third year on coach Margo Jonker’s Central Michigan staff, her second as a fulltime assistant.
Her primary duties are working with the outfielders and hitting instruction. She coaches first base during games.
She served as a graduate assistant at CMU in 2014-15, helping the Chippewas to a combined 61-45 overall record and pair of runner-up finishes in the Mid-American Conference West Division.
Bracamonte was a standout outfielder and four-year letterwinner at Michigan State from 2008-11. As a senior, she drove in a team-high 28 runs while hitting .328 with a .485 slugging percentage, which ranked second on the team. She also led the Big Ten with four triples.
Bracamonte earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State in 2012, and got her start in coaching as a student assistant at MSU in 2012.
A native of Hacienda Heights, Calif., Bracamonte served as an assistant coach in 2013 at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif.
