CMU outhit the Falcons, 20-9, in the doubleleader. Sophomore Erika Underwood, who homered Wednesday in CMU’s win over Oakland, had five hits and drove in five runs on the day.
Chippewa pitcher Rachael Knapp struck out 10 for the victory over the Grizzlies. Oakland did not get its first hit off Knapp until a one-out double in the seventh inning.
It was the Chippewas’ seventh-consecutive victory and 14th in their last 15 starts as they improved to 15-7. Oakland fell to 7-10.
