MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Two Central Michigan players have been named All-Mid American Conference in women’s soccer.
Lexi Pelafas, a junior forward, was named to the all-conference first team, while Madison Pogarch, a junior mid, earned a spot on the second team.
It marks the second consecutive year that Pelafas has been named to the all-conference first team. Pelafas, who hails from Wheaton, Ill., led the conference in scoring with 13 goals.
She also paced the league in shots (94), shots per game (5.22), points (28) and points per game (1.56).
She twice this season notched a hat trick, becoming the first player in program history to accomplish the feat twice in a season. She became the Chippewas’ all-time leading scorer with 33 career goals this season.
Pogarch, who hails from Hartland, finished the season with four assists. She was named to the all-league second team in 2016.
