The Central Michigan lacrosse team will play at Cincinnati in a nonleague game on Friday (3 p.m.) at the Bearcats’ Gettler Stadium.
LAST TIME OUT
CMU (2-2) defeated Butler, 19-9, in its home opener on Wednesday. The 19 goals tied for the third-highest single-game total in program history. The Chippewas are in their third year of intercollegiate lacrosse.
• Shannon Doyle leads the Chippewa offense with nine goals. Tyra Prince and Jocelyne Lemay have each scored seven goals.
• Jessica Schuchardt leads CMU with seven assists. Doyle leads the Chippewas with nine ground balls, while Natalie Karlen has eight.
• Hope Murray and Dominique Hamman have both spent significant time in goal for CMU. Murray has logged 194-plus minutes, while Hamman has been in net for just over 42 minutes. Murray has posted 24 saves and carries a 12.34 goals-against average.
Cincinnati, which plays in the BIG EAST, is 3-1 and riding a three-game win streak. The Bearcats defeated Ohio State, 17-12, on Monday.
It is the third meeting between CMU and Cincinnati. The Bearcats both previous meetings.
The Chippewas return to Mount Pleasant to begin a seven-game home stand on Sunday, March 11 (1 p.m.) against Michigan.
