MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Halle Moraw and Karlee Teet of the Central Michigan gymnastics team were honored by the Mid-American Conference on Tuesday.
Moraw was named the league's co-gymnast of the week and Teet was named the specialist of the week for their performances in a victory over Bowling Green on Sunday at McGuirk Arena.
Moraw, a senior from Clarkston, earned first-place finishes on vault, beam and floor. She tied her career-best with a 9.875 on vault and tied her career-best on beam with a 9.900.
She tied for first place on floor exercise with a 9.900, marking the third consecutive time this season and the fifth time overall this year that she has posted a 9.900 in the event.
Moraw shared gymnast of the week honors with Kelsey Hood of Western Michigan.
Teet, a junior from Denver, Colo., tied for first on bars and tied for second on vault in CMU's victory over Bowling Green on Sunday. She scored a 9.900 on bars and a 9.850 on vault. Her vault score was the best of her career, and her bars score matched her personal best.
It marks the first time that Teet has earned individual weekly conference accolades.
