Chippewas Drop Spring Contest to Michigan State, 2-1

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team lost 2-1 against Michigan State in its second spring exhibition game on Sunday, April 6.

Sophomore Kaysie Gregory scored the lone goal for the Chippewas. The Maroon and Gold were in prime scoring position from five corners and took three shots on goal.

CMU goalkeeper Sadie Reynolds contributed 14 saves out of Spartan’s 15 shots. Reynolds’ teammates helped block shots with two defensive saves.

The Chippewas will be back in action for a two-day tournament at Louisville starting on April 12.
