MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Reyna Frost has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for women’s basketball.

Frost, a 6-foot junior forward, played a huge role in the Chippewas’ 69-65 victory at Ball State in their MAC opener on Saturday. Frost scored 23 points and hauled down 19 rebounds as CMU won on the road against one of its top division rivals.

Frost made 9-of-12 field goal attempts (75 percent) and went 5-for-6 (83.3 percent) from the free throw line as CMU improved to 9-3. It marked the second time this season that Frost has earned the weekly MAC award.
