Logan Kleam led the Chippewas, as he has all season, placing 108th out of 292 runners with a time of 24 minutes, 33.5 seconds. That mark eclipsed his previous best by approximately 5 seconds.
The Chippewas will run in the men’s seeded race, which includes No. 2 BYU, No. 5 Arkansas, No. 7 Colorado, No. 8 Oregon, and four other teams that are ranked in the top 30.
Louisville's Sawyer State Park is also the site of the Nov. 18 NCAA Championships. In order to get there, the Chippewas will have to perform well at the regional.
Central Michigan cross country runners Paula Merino and Alec Omell have been named the Runner of the Week by the Mid-American Conference.
