Rush, Kroll named Academic All-District

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Two Central Michigan football players have been name to the Capital One Academic All-District Football Team.

Quarterback Cooper Rush and wide receiver Jesse Kroll were named to the squad, which is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Players represent one of eight geographic regions from across the United States and Canada.

Rush, sophomore from Charlotte, Mich., is an actuarial science major who carries a 3.91 grade point average. Kroll, junior from Algoma, Wis., carries a 3.61 GPA and majors in psychology.

All-District honorees earn a spot on the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot. Three All-America teams - a first, a second and a third team - will be selected by CoSIDA at the end of November.

Rush has started all 10 of CMU's games this season, completing 175 of 270 passes for 2,198 yards with 15 touchdowns against eight interceptions.

Kroll is CMU's second-leading receiver with 28 catches for 431 yards and four TDs. He is averaging 15.4 yards per reception.
