MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan senior Titus Davis was named to the Biletnikoff Award Pre-season Watch List.
The Biletnikoff Award goes to college football's top receiver, and is named for College and Pro Football Hall of Famer Fred Biletnikoff.
Davis is one of 55 players named to the list, which will be pared to three finalists. Biletnikoff will present the award to the winner on The Home Depot College Football Awards Show, which will be broadcast on ESPN, on Dec. 11.
Davis, who was named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List before the 2013 season, earned the Herb Deromedi Most Valuable Player Award a year ago when he totaled 61 receptions for 1,109 yards and eight toughdowns. He led CMU in all-purpose yardage (1,301) in 2013, earning First Team All-MAC honors.
Davis ranks No. 1 in the NCAA among active players with an 18.9-yards-per-catch average, and is ninth (77.7) in career receiving yards per game.
Davis' brother, Corey, a sophomore at Western Michigan, was also named to the watch list. The only other MAC player on the list is Da'Ron Brown of Northern Illinois.
