MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -Nick Beamish of the Central Michigan football team has made the Rimington Trophy Fall Watch List.
He joins 65 other players on the watch list including three others from the MAC.
Beamish, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound junior center from Riverview, started all 12 games in 2013, helping the Chippewas to a 6-6 overall finishing including 5-3 in the Mid-American Conference.
Beamish has started 25 consecutive games for the Chippewas.
The trophy, which goes annually to the top center in college football, is named for former Nebraska great Dave Rimington.
Rimington was a two-time All-American and the only center in college football history to twice earn the Outland Trophy, which annually goes to the game's top lineman.
