MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan's Nick Beamish has been named to the Rimington Trophy Fall Watch List.
Beamish, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound senior-to-be from Riverview, is one of 50 centers nationwide, including six representing Mid-American Conference schools, named to the list.
Beamish started all 13 games for CMU in 2014, helping the Chippewas to a 7-6 finish including 5-3 in the MAC.
This marks the second-consecutive season that Beamish has earned a spot on the Rimington watch list. He has started 38 consecutive games.
The trophy, which goes annually to the top center in college football, is named for former Nebraska great Dave Rimington, a two-time All-American and the only center in college football history to have twice earned the Outland Trophy, which annually goes to the game's top lineman.
