GAME PREVIEW
• Central Michigan (15-10, 4-8 MAC) will finish out a two-game road swing and begin a string of six-straight contests against MAC West opponents to finish out the regular season on Tuesday, February 13 when it travels to DeKalb, Ill. to face Northern Illinois (11-14, 4-8 MAC) in an 8 p.m. ET game at the Huskies’ Convocation Center.
• CMU is 3-6 (2-4 MAC) on the road this season while Northern Illinois possesses a 9-2 (4-1 MAC) home record.
• CMU is 273-355 all-time in MAC play.
• The Chippewas own a 51-57 record in their all-time series with the Huskies.
• CMU took this season’s first meeting, downing NIU, 81-67, in McGuirk Arena, behind a career-high 24 points from Josh Kozinski.

LAST TIME OUT
• Central Michigan dropped a 69-63 Mid-American Conference game to Akron at the Zips’ James A. Rhodes Arena.
Shawn Roundtree Jr. and Kevin McKay scored 14 points apiece to lead CMU, while Cecil Williams added 12 points and Luke Meyer had 10. Eric Parrish scored 21 points and Daniel Utomi had 20 for the Zips. Parrish grabbed nine rebounds.
• McKay, a sophomore guard, hauled down a season-high 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.
• CMU went cold from the floor and the free throw line. The Chippewas made just 5 of their 22 3-point attempts and suffered an uncharacteristically poor day at the line, making just 10-of-21. They finished at 22.7 percent from long range and 47.6 percent from the line. The 3-point percentage was their second-lowest of the season, and the free throw percentage was their worst.

TRENDING
• Senior guard Josh Kozinski needs seven 3-pointers to become Central Michigan basketball’s (men’s or women’s) career leader. NIki DiGuilio, who played from 2010-14, currently holds the record with 288. Kozinski broke the men’s record vs. NIU on Jan. 30.
• Four different Chippewas have earned MAC West Player of the Week honors this season -- Shawn Roundtree Jr. (11/27), David DiLeo (12/24), Luke Meyer (1/22) and Cecil Williams (2/5). Only MAC frontrunner Buffalo has equaled that number this season. • Central Michigan is one of three Division I teams that feature starters who all shoot 75% or better from the free throw line, joining Auburn and William & Mary.
• Central Michigan is No. 4 in the nation in free throw percentage, shooting .796 from the line. • Senior forward Luke Meyer has made 21 of his last 22 free throws. He is shooting .903 from the line this season.
• Sophomore guard/forward Kevin McKay leads the MAC in steals per game (2.6 spg) and ranks No. 2 in offensive rebounds (3.1) (MAC games only).
• McKay has recorded at least one steal in 20 of the 23 games in which he has played this season, including in 14 straight.

SCOUTING NORTHERN ILLINOIS
• Led by seven-year head coach Mark Montgomery, Northern Illinois enters Tuesday’s conference game coming off its biggest win of the season, a 90-88 home overtime upset of MAC frontrunner Buffalo.
• That win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Huskies.
• Ranked No. 8 in the MAC in scoring offense (74.3 ppg) (6th in MAC play), Northern Illinois features three players who average double figures -- sophomore guard Eugene German (20.0 ppg), junior wing Levi Bradley (14.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg) and junior guard Dante Thorpe (11.7 ppg).
• German, who totaled 28 points and seven rebounds against Buffalo, leads the MAC in scoring and his 46 3-pointers top the Huskies.
• Bradley leads NIU in rebounding, blocks (8) and free throw shooting (.835).
• Thorpe shoots .558 (7th in the MAC) from the field and tops NIU with 48 assists.
