MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Two Central Michigan student-athletes were named to the All-Mideast Region American Baseball Coaches Association Rawlings second team.

CMU pitcher Pat Kaminska and catcher Tyler Huntey were named to the Mideast honor squad, which comprises 38 NCAA Division I universities.

Kaminska and Huntey shared CMU Most Valuable Players honors in 2014. Kaminska, a senior right-hander, was named to the All-Mid-American Conference first team and earlier this week signed a free agent contract with the Texas Rangers.

Huntey, a junior, earned All-MAC second team honors.

Kaminska finished the 2014 season with an 8-3 record and a 2.47 earned run average. He appeared in 15 games, starting 14, and allowed 85 hits, struck out 70 and walked 14 in 94 2/3 innings.

Huntey hit a team-best .329 (78-for-237) with five home runs and 51 RBI. He finished the season with 13 stolen bases, 10 doubles and three triples.

Huntey earned the Chippewas' Most Improved Player award and was named a team captain in 2014.
