CMU has won two straight games, the first of which was a 7-3 victory on Sunday over Northwestern. That win snapped a 14-game winless streak.
Freshman right-hander Logan Buczkowski (1-0), a Mount Pleasant native, did not allow a hit in going four innings in his first Theunissen Stadium start. He struck out six and walked one.
Griffin Lockwood-Powell had three hits, and David Cole and Evan Kratt added two apiece to lead CMU’s nine-hit attack in its 7-3 win in the nightcap. Cole drove in four runs, two of which came on an eighth-inning single.
Evan Kratt collected a team-high two hits for Central Michigan. Jason Sullivan, Jacob Crum, Griffin Lockwood-Powell and Zavier Warren added one apiece.
