From the Desk of Cheryl Stacy:

Golf Champions,

As women's golf returns to CMU, your support through the Chippewa Club will be a vital part of helping us along the path to success and building a championship program. The Championship Fund builds on this support to further enhance our program through specific objectives.

The Championship Fund will assist our program in meeting needs above and beyond traditional operating expenditures and will assist us as we strive to be a championship level program in the Mid-American Conference as well as on a national level.

Below you will find a brief description of our Championship Fund goals. By specifically targeting this goal, you will see your contribution, at work, in a tangible sense. Thank you for your continued support and I hope that I can count on you to continue to elevate our program.

Winter Training Trip

With our spring season beginning in February, we would like to travel down to Florida in mid-January to allow our team to play a couple of rounds of golf and practice outside to simulate a golf tournament. Indoor practice is great, however there is no better preparation than to play outside with different weather conditions. Playing a real golf course with uneven lies and all different types of grasses is a huge benefit for our teams we prepare for our spring season!

Cost: $6,200
