Mike Dabbs joined the Central Michigan University Athletics Department as the Assistant Director of Athletics Marketing in 2007 after serving two years as a graduate assistant with CMU Athletics. In August 2015, Dabbs was promoted to Associate AD for Marketing and Ticketing.

In his role as Associate AD for Marketing and Ticketing, he provides vision and direction for the marketing, promotions and advertising of the 16 varsity sports at CMU and creates, manages and implements budget and marketing goals for each fiscal year. During his time at CMU Dabbs has created the Chippewa Kids Club, the Chip Rewards Program, the Central Athletes Reaching Everyone (C.A.R.E.) program, and Chips for a Cure. Dabbs also manages all pregame and in-game entertainment and video board promotions for the athletic department.

Dabbs is also very involved in fostering future marketing professionals. He oversees the Marketing Academy, a student internship program, and has led a partnership with the Sport Management program at CMU to create multiple student initiatives.

Dabbs has earned several awards in his time with the department, including the Mid-American Conference NCAA Pack The House Challenge, the Sport Management Coordinator Award, the Central Michigan University Staff Excellence Award, and the U.S. Army Citizen of Influence Award.

He earned his Master of Arts Degree in Sport Administration from CMU in 2007, and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a marketing major, in 2005.

Dabbs resides in Midland with his wife Angela and son Carter.
