Kevin Love began at Central Michigan University in 1979. He is currently in his 32nd year of teaching at CMU. Love is a full-time, tenured full-professor in the Department of Management, College of Business Administration.
Love's primary duties are teaching undergraduate and MBA courses in organizational behavior and human resource management, conducting and publishing scholarly research, and serving as CMU's faculty athletics representative to the NCAA and MAC, as appointed by the President. As the faculty athletics representative, Love provides oversight of CMU Athletics in terms of institutional control, academics, and student-athlete welfare.
Before coming to CMU, Love worked in human resources for the City of Tampa, Florida, Civil Service Board and the Center for Evaluation Research at the University of South Florida. He has provided management consulting services to large corporations such as Dow Corning, Ford Motor Company, public agencies such as the Michigan Department of State Police, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, and smaller companies such as CME Mitsuba and Delfield Corp.
