MOUNT PLEASANT -- Head coach Steve Jaksa and the Central Michigan baseball program have added another student-athlete to this year's recruiting class.
Jordan Adams, a catcher from Mason City, Iowa, has signed a letter of intent to join the Chippewas in their quest for another Mid-American Conference title next year. Adams originally committed to the University of Northern Iowa before UNI announced it was eliminating its baseball program following the 2009 season.
"This was a tough situation for Jordan," Jaksa said. "He visited us and another school in the state and decided this was where he wanted to be. He's a good, strong kid with a nice personality who will fit right in with our program. We think he has a really good chance to play right away and develop into a really good player. I know UNI coach Rick Heller really felt that Jordan may have been the best player in the state of Iowa. We feel that Jordan is a quality addition to our program."
