Jeff Kastl begins his second season as the offensive graduate assistant at CMU. Kastl works primarily with CMU’s quarterbacks and assists in game planning and opponent film breakdown.
In 2007, he worked closely with quarterback Dan LeFevour, who was named MAC Offensive Player of the Year and earned all-conference first team honors. Kastl was a two-year letterman as a quarterback at Michigan, earning Academic All-Big 10 honors as a senior. He was a five-time recipient of Michigan’s Athletic Academic Achievement Award.
Kastl was an honorable mention all-state selection as a senior at Chippewa Valley High School. He threw for 1,247 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushed 55 times for 224 yards and four touchdowns as a senior.
Kastl earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management and communication from Michigan in 2007. He is pursuing a master’s degree in sport administration at CMU.
