CMU Gains Votes in Both Major Polls
CMU received the 26th-most points (61 total points) in this week’s USA Today coaches poll and the 27th-most points (76 total points) in the Associated Press poll. Last week, CMU received 34 points in the USA Today coaches poll and 39 points in the Associated Press poll.
Chippewas Seeking Fifth Road Win of 2009
CMU is 4-1 in road games in 2009. The Chippewas are one victory shy of matching a school record for wins in true road games in a single season. CMU has posted five road wins in a season six times, most recently in 1979.
Anderson Riding Receptions Streak
Bryan Anderson’s streak of 48 consecutive games played with a reception is the longest active streak in the country. He has caught at least one pass in every game he has played in his career. The record for any NCAA division for consecutive games with a reception is 51 shared by Taurean Henderson (Texas Tech) and Michael Larkin (Miami, Ohio).
Knight Named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week
Larry Knight was named MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for his efforts in the Chippewas’ 24-10 win at Bowling Green last weekend. The senior defensive end posted career highs of three tackles for loss and two sacks. His first sack came on a third-and-7 and forced BGSU to kick a field goal late in the second quarter. His second sack pinned the Falcons at their own 1-yard line and led to a three-and-out in the fourth quarter; CMU scored its third and final touchdown on the ensuing possession.
CMU vs. the ACC
The Chippewas are 0-4 all-time against current members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. CMU was defeated by Virginia in 1996, by Boston College in both 2002 and 2006 and by Clemson in 2007.

CMU has out-scored its eight opponents by a total of 100 points in the first half. The Chippewas have out-scored opponents by a combined 64-19 in the first quarter and 106-51 in the second quarter, and CMU has led games by an average score of 21.3-8.8 at halftime in 2009. CMU has held five of its last six opponents scoreless in the first quarter.

LeFevour Reaches 1,000 Career Completions
Dan LeFevour is the 11th player in Bowl Subdivision history to complete 1,000 passes. He reached the milestone on a 29-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Brown last weekend at Bowling Green.
132 Career Touchdowns and Counting
Dan LeFevour leads all active players in the Bowl Subdivision with 132 career touchdowns. He has passed for 90 touchdowns, rushed for 41 and caught a touchdown pass during his career. LeFevour enters the weekend eight touchdowns ahead of Tim Tebow (124 career touchdowns; 75 passing, 49 rushing). The Bowl Subdivision record for total touchdowns in a career is believed to be 146, shared by Graham Harrell (Texas Tech) and Colt Brennan (Hawaii).
LeFevour Fifth Nationally in Completion Percentage
Dan LeFevour enters Saturday’s game fifth in the nation in completion percentage. He has completed 156-of-223 passes this season, 69.96 percent. The four quarterbacks ahead of LeFevour are Arizona’s Nick Foles (72.25), Texas’ Colt McCoy (71.65), Houston’s Case Keenum (70.06) and Florida State’s Christian Ponder (70.04).
LeFevour Reaches 10,000 Career Passing Yards, 2,500 Career Rushing Yards
• Dan LeFevour is the seventh quarterback in Mid-American Conference history to reach 10,000 career passing yards. He reached the milestone on a 5-yard completion to Kito Poblah in the first quarter on Sept. 26 against Akron.
• LeFevour enters Saturday’s game with 2,757 career rushing yards. He is the 20th player, and first quarterback, in school history to rush for 2,000 yards in a career. He is 79 yards shy of cracking the school’s career rushing yardage top-10 list.
• LeFevour is the first player in Bowl Subdivision history to reach 10,000 career passing yards and 2,500 career rushing yards.
LeFevour Holds MAC Total Offense Record, Sits Fifth on NCAA List
• Dan LeFevour is the MAC’s all-time leader in total offense with 13,920 career yards (11,163 passing, 2,757 rushing). He broke Byron Leftwich’s record of 12,084 yards on a 12-yard touchdown pass to Kito Poblah in the fourth quarter against Michigan State.
• LeFevour enters the weekend fifth on the NCAA’s career total offense yardage list. He is 745 yards shy of BYU’s Ty Detmer for fourth all-time.
• Among active Bowl Subdivision quarterbacks, LeFevour ranks first in completions, attempts and total offense, second in passing yards and tied for third in touchdown passes.
