DETROIT – Central Michigan head football coach Butch Jones, senior left tackle Andrew Hartline and junior quarterback Dan LeFevour were in Detroit for Mid-American Conference Football Media Day on Tuesday.

As part of the event, CMU unveiled a 30-foot by 60-foot billboard on the back of the scoreboard at Comerica Park. The billboard, which faces the primary entrance to Ford Field, features LeFevour as part of a comprehensive marketing campaign promoting the CMU athletics department.

The placement of the billboard was a joint venture between the university’s Public Relations and Marketing office and the athletics department.

The billboard already has garnered national attention, as ESPN’s “College Football Live” featured the advertisement during Tuesday’s show. Tuesday’s edition of “College Football Live” re-airs Tuesday at 11 p.m. on ESPNU.

Jones, Hartline and LeFevour spent nearly three hours meeting with reporters Tuesday morning. They were joined by the head coaches and players from each of the MAC’s other 12 football members.
