MOUNT PLEASANT — Three members of the Central Michigan softball team have been named to the 2011 Academic All-Mid-American Conference team, the league announced Wednesday.
The three selections is the most by the Chippewas since three players were named to the team in 2007.
Junior Molly Coldren and sophomores Macy Merchant and Kara Dornbos each earned the honor for the first time in their careers. Merchant and Dornbos both were eligible for the award for the first time in 2011.
