2009-10: Placed third at the MAC Championships at 133 pounds … lost in the conference tournament finals and forfeited a true-second match … posted a 5-0 mark in MAC duals … led the team with six falls … named MAC Wrestler of the Week twice during the season … was recognized by the conference after pinning three of his four opponents at Northeast Duals (Nov. 28) … one of three falls was a first-period pin of No. 10 Steve Bell (Maryland) … earned the honor a second time after defeating Ohio’s Michael Fennell, 9-0, and Kent State’s Danny Mitcheff, 3-2, in the final week of the dual season ... finished with an overall record of 21-9 ... 16-3 in duals.

2008-09: All-American … placed seventh at the NCAA Championships at 125 pounds … first true freshman to earn All-America honors in school history … MAC champion at 125 pounds … CMU’s first true freshman MAC champion since Ryan Cunningham (1997) … won the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic … pinned Nic Bedelyon (Kent State) in 13 seconds in Brockport final … tied for the fifth-fastest fall in school history … also defeated Bedelyon, 8-2, in MAC Championships final and 7-2 in seventh-place match at NCAA Championships … named MAC Wrestler of the Week after posting a 12-0 major decision over 11th-ranked Mike Watts (Michigan) … advanced to the semifinals before finishing fourth at Midlands … opened season 9-1 and had a nine-match winning streak in January … 4-1 mark in MAC duals … tied for team lead in falls with four … recipient of team’s Most Outstanding Freshman award.
