Mid-American Conference Announces Basketball TV Schedule

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Mid-American Conference has announced a regional television package produced and distributed by the new home for MAC basketball – Time Warner Cable SportsChannel (TWC).

The schedule includes a total of 55 contests, six of which will feature the defending MAC Tournament Champion Central Michigan women’s basketball program. The CMU men’s program will have two scheduled contests, with the possibility of five additions based on wildcard selections.

All games will be produced in high definition, available to Time Warner Cable subscribers and offered to ESPN for inclusion on ESPN3, Watch ESPN and ESPN Full Court (blackout restrictions may apply). TWC will also work with affiliates in the MAC footprint concerning distribution in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. More information concerning the non-TWC affiliate clearances, including Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN/Toledo) and Cox Cable (Greater Cleveland) will be available this fall.

The women’s basketball schedule will tip-off on Saturday, January 4th as the Chippewas host Toledo in a West Division showdown. The women’s schedule also features contests at Akron (Jan. 9/7 p.m.), at Buffalo (Jan. 12/2 p.m.), versus Bowling Green (Jan. 18/12 p.m.), versus Ball State (Feb. 27/7 p.m.) and at Toledo (March 2/2 p.m.).

The men’s program will play scheduled television contests at Toledo (Jan. 11/6 p.m.) and at Kent State (Feb. 15/6 p.m.).

In conclusion, six (6) games (second round, third round & semifinals) of the MAC Men’s Basketball Tournament will be broadcast live, while three games (semifinals & Championship) of the Women’s Tournament will air live.

Season tickets for both the men's and women's basketball seasons are on sale now and can be purchased online, at Ticket Central inside the atrium of the CMU Events Center or by calling 1-800-FIRE-UP2.
