Track and Field Program to See Change in Leadership
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan University athletics director Dave Heeke has elected to not renew the contract of director of track and field/cross country Willie Randolph, whose multi-year agreement expired at the end of the 2012-13 season.

"I review every program annually and after recently evaluating the track and field/cross country program, as well as Coach Randolph's four years at CMU, I have determined that the program is in need of a change at the top," Heeke said. "The complex issues that surround a combined program require strong leadership and direction, and I felt those were missing. I thank Coach Randolph for his service to this program and wish him the best moving forward."

Associate head coach Matt Kaczor will manage the program while an immediate national search occurs for Randolph's replacement. All assistant coaches will remain on staff during the search.
