MOUNT PLEASANT – On Wednesday, April 17, at 6:35 p.m., the Chippewas and Michigan State Spartans will square off in The “D” for the third annual Clash at Comerica.
This annual highlight of the college baseball schedule in the state of Michigan has two of the state’s historically successful programs squaring off in one of the finest baseball venues in the country.
The Clash at Comerica also provides an opportunity for CMU’s strong alumni base in southeast Michigan to see the maroon and gold in action right in their backyard.
Tickets cost $6 for adults, $5 for youth/seniors and $3 for any college student with a valid student ID. Groups of 10 or more may also purchase tickets at a special group rate of $3 per ticket.
There will also be a special reception held in the Tiger Club for CMU alumni, supporters and their guests starting at 5 p.m. Chippewa fans are invited to enjoy tailgate-style fare, a cash bar and will hear a preview of CMU’s matchup with the Spartans from Head Baseball Coach Steve Jaksa.
The cost of the event is $20, which includes dinner a game ticket. The reception is sponsored by the Chippewa Athletic Fund and CMU Alumni Relations.
All tickets, including tickets for the pre-game reception, may be purchased from CMU's Ticket Central by calling 1-888-FIREUP-2 or online.
Game tickets are also available through the Comerica Park box office.
Fans may park in structures near the stadium for $6 and enter through the main gates, located off of Witherell St. and Elizabeth St.
