Athletic Hall of Fame Criteria for Selection
Athlete
—Becomes eligible 10 years after graduation or leaving CMU
—Must have earned two letters in one sport, one letter in two or more
sports or brought recognition to the school by his or her athletic
endeavor
—An outstanding career as an athlete must be continued by an exemplary
career in the individual’s profession or occupation, a record which
reflects credit to the person and the university
Staff or Faculty
—Becomes eligible five years after leaving CMU
—Must have been a staff or faculty member at CMU for a minimum of 10 years
—An outstanding career as a faculty or staff member must be evident and
must have a direct and significant impact on athletics at CMU
***Anyone may submit nominations, and there is no limit on the number of times a person may be considered for the Hall of Fame.
