Mount Pleasant, Mich. - The Central Michigan wrestling program will conclude its' 2014 Mid-American Conference campaign when it hosts Eastern Michigan on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.
The Chippewas (8-7, 4-3 MAC) will get one final dual tuneup versus the Eagles (11-7, 1-4 MAC) before they travel to Columbus, Ohio on Sunday for the NWCA National Duals where they will take on No. 18 Illinois in the first round.

MAC Announces First February Rankings: The MAC released its first set of bimonthly rankings last Thursday with six Chippewas ranked in the top four of their weight class respectively. Junior Mike Ottinger (174) remains as the Chippewas' only No. 1 ranked wrestler, while senior Joe Roth (133) and sophomore Lucas Smith (157) are each ranked second. Sophomore Zach Horan is ranked No. 3 at 141 pounds and redshirt freshmen Corey Keener (125) and Nick Becker (165) are both ranked fourth at their respective weight classes.
MAC Partners with Flowrestling to Stream Championships: The Mid-American Conference announced today the 2014 MAC Wrestling Championships on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 will be streamed live by Flowrestling. The 2014 MAC Wrestling Championships will be hosted by Kent State University. Flowrestling (www.flowrestling.org) provides the largest wrestling premium video library available on demand, as well as live wrestling events, and original wrestling productions. The fee for viewing the 2014 MAC Wrestling Championships will be $20 and provide the viewer with access to the website for an entire month.
CMU vs. EMU: The Chippewas are 55-9-1 all-time against Eastern Michigan and have won 22 straight meetings, including a 31-6 victory inside McGuirk Arena last season. CMU has more wins over EMU than any other opponent in program history. Eastern Michigan's last win in the series was a 17-16 decision in 1991.
CMU vs. The MAC: Despite three losses this season in conference action, The Chippewas have won 79 of their last 86 MAC duals dating back to the 1997-98 season.

Looking Ahead: CMU will compete in the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals beginning Sunday at St. Johns Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The Chippewas will take on No. 18 in the first round of the tournament.
