Mount Pleasant, Mich. - Central Michigan junior Jessica Green has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Co-Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The award is the first of the season for Green and the second straight by the Chippewas as junior Crystal Bradford earned the honor last week.
Despite being a game-time decision, Green scored a game and season-high 24 points on the road versus No. 17/19-ranked Purdue in the Chippewas' lone contest of the week.
Green came off the bench for just the second time this season and matched her career high with 11 made field goals, going 11-for-19 from the floor to score 24 points, including 16 in the second half. The effort was her second 20-plus performance of the season and the fifth of her career and also marked the sixth time this season that the junior has scored in double figures.
CMU is back on the hardwood Monday evening when it takes on Dayton at 7 p.m.
