CMU Set to Start 2013 vs. Robert Morris, St. Louis

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team will start off the 2013 season facing Robert Morris on Friday, Aug. 30 at 2 p.m. and St. Louis on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. Both matches will be played at the CMU Field Hockey Complex.

"I'm excited for the opener," head coach Cristy Freese said. "Robert Morris going to be a quality opponent and one very similiar to what we will see in the Mid-American Conference this season. Saint Louis is very similiar in that they return a lot of starters. We are putting an experienced team out there ourselves, but we need to be on our game from the start."

• Sophomore goalkeeper Sadie Reynolds will be making her first career start in the cage. Reynolds will be assisted by a Chippewas' defense that returns all four starters.
