In July 2012, Alysha Anders was named as the Assistant Director of the Chippewa Athletic Fund.

Anders comes to CMU from Midland Center for the Arts where she simultaneously coordinated and managed a variety of events within the organization’s five member groups and marketing and fund development departments.  Her primary duties with MCFTA were event-planning, marketing, hospitality and donor and sponsor relations.  In her three and a half years at the Center she oversaw approximately 150 unique fundraising events, community outreach events, and donor and sponsor receptions.

Despite working in Midland, Anders heart remained with the maroon and gold as an avid Chippewa fan as well as a volunteer for her alma mater where she mentored students in the recreation program. Anders is thrilled to be “back home” at CMU as she looks to help the Chippewa Athletic Fund build upon its recent record-breaking campaign where they raised nearly $1,285,000 in 2011-12. She is committed to serving the best friends of CMU athletics as well as ensuring Chippewa student-athletes have the resources necessary to continue CMU’s Championship Culture.

In addition to her daily fundraising obligations, Anders will take a lead role with priority parking and seating for Chippewa Club members. She will also serve as the CAF liaison for five of CMU’s 16 varsity teams.

Anders is a Mount Pleasant native and CMU alumna.  She graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Commercial Recreation and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Administration.
