Michelle Noble takes on a new role in 2007, stepping in as a graduate assistant for the Chippewas. She served as an undergraduate assistant coach in 2006 after concluding her playing career at CMU in 2005.

Noble was a two-year captain as a defender for the Chippewas from 2002-05 and was part of a 2004 squad that set a school-record shutout streak of six consecutive games that stretched to 669:30 over parts of eight straight games. She started all but one match during her final two seasons at CMU.

Noble graduated summa cum laude in May with a degree in physical education, having made the Dean’s List every semester while earning an impressive 3.95 final GPA. She was awarded the Outstanding Physical Education and Sport Major of the Year Award this past spring. Noble was named honorable mention to the NSCAA Scholar-Athlete regional team following the 2004 season.

Prior to CMU, Michelle played for Saginaw Heritage High School and was a four-year letterwinner from 1999-2002. She was a team captain during her senior year when her team, which won the Division I state championship, was nationally ranked within the top 20. Noble was awarded first team all-league, all-district, and all-region honors, as well as being named third team all-state.

Noble served as the head coach for Mount Pleasant High School’s junior varsity girls’ team in the spring of 2005 and 2006 and was the head coach for the boys’ team during the fall of 2006. This spring, she served as the head coach for West Bloomfield High School’s freshman girls’ team.

Michelle also has been involved with Michigan’s Olympic Development Program and has worked with the Midland Soccer Club since 2005, serving as the head coach for its U-17 girls’ team this past year. She worked as an undergraduate assistant for CMU in 2006 and has coached at a number of CMU soccer camps, clinics, and tournaments over the last several years.
