MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.- Central Michigan’s women's basketball team will host a series of summer camps beginning June 15. Head coach Sue Guevara and the 2013 Mid-American Championship staff will conduct all three camps this June.
On Saturday, June 15, the Chippewas welcome grades 8-12 for an Elite Camp. This fast-paced and advanced skills camp gives players several opportunities to compete against the best players in the state and to prepare for play at the collegiate level. Enrollment is limited and registration is $35.
Following the Elite Camp will be a Position & Father/Daughter Camp on Sunday, June 16. This camp will be open to grades 7-12 and enrollment is $90. This specialized camp separates the positions of post and perimeter play. Players will be divided by age to receive in-depth instruction at their primary positions. Campers also can attend with their father.
The final camp of the summer will be a team camp from Friday, June 21- Sunday, June 23. High school varsity and junior varsity teams may register for this camp. Teams can choose from competitive and highly competitive divisions for seven games with top-quality officiating. Championship shirts are awarded to the division and overtime tournament champions. A varsity all-star contest will take place on the conclusion of day two. Participants staying on campus will be charged $195, and $125 for players deciding to commute. Teams must have a minimum of eight players.
