Softball Program Adds Jessica Bracamonte as Assistant Coach
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan University’s softball program has made an addition to their staff with the announcement of Jessica Bracamonte as the team's new assistant coach.

“I am very excited for the addition of Jessica to our staff.  She brings energy, knowledge and a great work ethic with her.  Her outgoing personality will be a great addition for our program,” Jonker said.

A standout outfielder and four-year letterwinner at Michigan State from 2008-11, Bracamonte spent one season as a student assistant at MSU from 2011-12.

Bracamonte ended her senior season ranked 45th nationally and third within the Big Ten Conference with a team-best four triples. Additionally, she led the Spartans with 16 walks and recorded a team-high 28 RBIs on the season. Bracamonte boasted a .328 batting average and slugging .485, ranking second on the team.

Bracamonte earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State in 2012.

Following her stint as a student assistant at MSU, Bracamonte was named assistant coach at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif. during the 2012-13 season.

“Jessica will be working mainly with the short game offensively and the outfielders defensively.  Her outfielders at Golden West improved tremendously throughout the year and became one of their strengths,” Jonker said.

CMU won the program’s 10th Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship and made its 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2013.
