Fowler, a 6-foot, 175-pound point guard from Beverly Hills, Mich., spent last season at the IMG Academy in Florida where he averaged 12 points and eight assists on a team that went 30-9.
"We are thrilled to have Chris join our program. Chris is a great student-athlete who excelled at both Detroit Country Day and IMG Academy," said Davis. "Chris is a talented young man who has the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. I look forward to having Chris be a key component to our success here at CMU."
Fowler graduated from Country Day in 2011, having started on the 2010 Class B state title team as a junior when he averaged 9.7 points and 5.6 assists. After a 26-2 record that year, Fowler took over at the point for Ray McCallum Jr. and became a captain his senior season, leading the squad to a 23-4 record and another berth in the state semifinal matchup
