Jalin Thomas ended his two-year Chippewas career with a nod to the All-MAC Honorable Mention Team.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The only pair of teammates to rank among the league's top scorers this season, Central Michigan senior Jalin Thomas and freshman Trey Zeigler have been named to the All-Mid-American Conference Honorable Mention men's basketball list announced today by the league office.

Zeigler, who was also one of five players named to the MAC's All-Freshman Team, was the league's third-highest scorer at 16.3 points per game and 18.4 points per conference game. His overall season average was the fourth-highest among all Division I freshmen and his 506 points made him the Chippewas' all-time leading freshman scorer. He finished one vote short of becoming the MAC's Freshman of the Year.

Thomas ranked fourth in league scoring, and sixth overall, averaging 16.6 and 15.9 points, respectively. He also ranked fifth in free throw percentage (.805), sixth in 3-point field goals made (2.36 per game) and 18th in rebounding (5.4 rpg). The Academic All-America honoree finished his two-year career with a scoring average of 11.8 points per game.

One of the two players led the Chippewas' scoring efforts in 29 of their 31 games this year. Zeigler is the team's first all-freshman honoree since Jeremy Allen in 2008.
