Game Notes: Central Michigan travels to Ann Arbor to take on #2 Michigan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Chippewas are back in Michigan after rebounding strong against Arkansas- Pine Bluff at the WestStar Bank Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational in El Paso, Texas. Winners of three of the last four games and off to the best start since 2002-03, Central Michigan heads to Ann Arbor, Mich., to take on its toughest test of the season in second-ranked Michigan. 

The Chippewas (7-5) are 3-20 all-time against the Wolverines (12-0), a series that dates back to 1944. The last time the two met on the hardwood, the Chippewas left Ann Arbor with the 78-67 victory on Dec 15, 2007. The Chippewas have faced 28 opponents as a Division I program, most recently in 2010 against Purdue. The Wolverines represent the Chippewas' most-played ranked opponent and their highest-ranked opponent (#1 in 1976). Their last win over a ranked team came in December 2003 over No. 23 Notre Dame.

Kyle Randall has continued his strong play this season, scoring a career-high 27 points against Nebraska at UTEP. In the month of December, Randall is averaging 19.5 points per game, and leads the Mid-American Conference, shooting 90 percent from the free throw line.
