Hibbitts Helps Hudsonville to Baseball State Title
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Recent Central Michigan University men's basketball signee Blake Hibbitts led the Hudsonville Eagles to the MHSAA Division 1 state baseball championship this past weekend.

Hibbitts, who is a 6-foot-6, 190-pound right-handed pitcher, started the semifinal game on Saturday and earned the win that put his team in the state finals. Hudsonville then defeated Warren De La Salle, 9–6, on Sunday to claim the first baseball state championship in program history.

Hibbitts not only excelled on the baseball field this season, posting a 10–0 record with a 1.35 ERA and 66 strikeouts, he also averaged 17 points per game during the basketball season and graduated with just under a 4.0 grade point average.

In early June, Hibbitts became the seventh student–athlete from the 2012 class to sign with head coach Keno Davis and the Chippewas.
