Mount Pleasant, Mich — Senior setter Kelly Maxwell and junior outside hitter Kaitlyn McIntyre were named to the 'Bash in the Boro' All-Tournament Team after leading Central Michigan to a runner-up finish.
McIntyre earned All-Tournament honors for the third straight weekend after leading the Chippewas with 34 kills (4.25/set) and chipping in with 29 digs (3.62/set) on the defensive side. The junior moved closer to becoming the 17th member of CMU's 1,000 kill club as she is just now 29 kills away from the mark.
Maxwell, the Mid-American Conference leader in assists per set, earned her first All-Tournament honor of the season by contributing on both sides of the net. The senior dished out 89 assists (11.12/set) in eight sets of play and was a force defensively with 10 blocks.
CMU wrapped up non-conference play with an even 6-6 record and will open MAC play this Friday inside McGuirk Arena against west division foe Toledo at 7 p.m.
