Chippewas Will Take on Ohio This Weekend 

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team heads to Athens in a Mid-American Conference match-up against Ohio on Saturday, October 19 at 1 p.m.

• Junior midfielder Kaysie Gregory scored the game-tying goal in a OT 3-2 loss to conference opponent Kent State last Saturday. The loss dropped the Chippewas to 4-8 on the season, including a 1-1 mark in the Mid-American Conference. 

• Sophomore goalkeeper Sadie Reynolds continues to stay at the top in the conference. Reynolds holds on to the top spot in save percentage with .752. Currently, Reynolds has recorded 76 saves on the season.

• Heading into the weekend, nine of the Chippewas have all found themselves on the scoring board with at least one goal. Including junior Jordyn Brengosz and senior Abby Roth of the Maroon and Gold defensive proving they can switch roles to score. 

• The Bobcats will enter the weekend 5-7 and 1-0 in the MAC after defeating Missouri State in OT, 3-2. The Green and White have seven returning starters, 15 letterwinners, and four newcomers on the 2013 roster. 

•  In conference rankings, Ohio senior Juli Gomez Teruel lead the MAC with nine goals. 

• The Chippewas travel down the road to Michigan State on Tuesday, October 22 at 3 p.m.
