ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Central Michigan men and women's track and field teams finished its regular indoor season at the Silverston Invitational at the University of Michigan on Saturday.
On the women's side, senior Megan Heffner won the high jump with a mark of 5-07.00, while Samantha Stein finished second with a mark of 5-05.00.
Sophomore Shaya Wilkerson won the triple jump posting a mark of 39-01.00.
Sophomore Markala Goodson placed second in the 60-meter dash with a mark of 7.85 and finshed third in the long jump with a mark of 17-00.50.
On the men's side, sophomore Craig Mauldin won the triple jump with a mark of 45-02.75, while Michael Johnson placed second with a mark of 44-02.91. Jimmy Hill also finished the event with a mark of 39-07.65.
Nick Malliaras and Matt Kosmalski both finished the 60-meter dash with marks of 7.17 and 7.37, respectively. Kosmalski posted a new personal best.
Redshirt freshman Melvin Harris placed third in the high jump with a mark of 6-05.16. Matt Mueller tied for seventh with a mark of 6-02.33.
Malliaras placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 21-09.43, while Kosmalski and Mauldin finished with marks of 20-04.06 and 20-00.45, respectively.
The Chippewas will head to the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships starting on February 28 in Kent, Ohio.
