MOUNT PLEASANT -- A two-run double to left center off the bat of Jordan Dean broke a 3-3 tie in the third as Central Michigan knocked off Michigan, 9-4, at Theunissen Stadium on Wednesday.

Dean ripped a 3-2 pitch into the gap to give the Chippewas (13-17) a 5-3 lead after the Wolverines (7-19) had tied it up in their half of the third.

Each team plated a run in the sixth and Eric Wrozek led off the eighth with a solo home run to make it 8-4. Arnold singled in an insurance run later in the inning to finish the day 3-for-5 with two RBI.

Bryce Morrow gave up a run in three innings of relief to pick up his first win of the season (1-3) and Dietrich Enns fanned five in three perfect innings for his second save of the season.

Logan McAnallen (0-2) took the loss for Michigan, yielding three runs on three hits in 1/3 inning of relief.

Dean, Matt Faiman and Tyler Hall each added two hits for the Chippewas. Cole Martin and Alex Lakatos had two hits each for the Wolverines.

CMU returns to the diamond this weekend at Akron for a three-game series starting on Friday.
