Junior Calvin Jackson is set to compete in his first outdoor meet of the season as the throwers head to the University of Oklahoma this weekend. Jackson will be competing in the hammer throw.
Throwing Squad Set to Compete at John Jacobs Invititational

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan track and field team will be sending the throwing squad to the John Jacobs Invitational at the University of Oklahoma this weekend.

On the men’s side, freshman Cole Walderzak, who’s coming off two second place finishes in his last outing, will be competing in the hammer throw and discus. Junior Calvin Jackson will join him in the hammer throw.

The women’s squad will be sending senior Kayla Brindley, sophomores Kyla Walworth and Milica Kulidzan, and freshmen Devene Brown and Kyleigh Young. Brown, Brindley and Walworth will all be competing in both the shot put and discus.

Kulidzan and Young return to competition after finishing first and second, respectively, in the javelin at the USF Open on March 8. Kulidzan threw for 138-00, while Young's throw measured 135-11.
