CMU head coach Steve Jaksa announced the signing of three student-athletes to a National Letter of Intent.
MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan head baseball coach Steve Jaksa has announced the signing of three student-athletes to a National Letter of Intent.

Infielder/outfielder Tom Lally (Chicago, Ill./De La Salle Institute/Prairie State College), right-handed pitcher Sean Renzi (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North HS) and left-handed pitcher Kenton SanMiguel (Wheeler, Mich./Breckenridge HS/Kellogg CC) will join the Chippewas for the 2012 season.

"We feel that this group fills our needs," Jaksa said. "We lost a couple of pitchers, so we were able to add a right-hander in Sean and a left-hander in Kenton who we really feel good about. And with Tom, we add a really good baseball player who will be a solid hitter in our lineup."

The trio joins five signees from the fall signing period: Randon Henika (Bay City, Mich./Jackson CC), Jordan Foley (The Colony, Texas/The Colony HS), Neal Jacobs (Avon, Ohio/Saint Ignatius HS), Matt Trowbridge (Mokena, Ill./Providence Catholic HS) and Joey Houlihan (New Lenox, Ill./Providence Catholic HS).

CMU won its second straight Mid-American Conference West Division title in 2011, finishing 31-27 overall, 17-9 in the MAC.
