Foley Earns MAC Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.- The Mid-American Conference announced its All-MAC Teams and specialty awards on Tuesday, May 21. Sophomore starting pitcher Jordan Foley received All-MAC Second Team honors.

Foley led Central Michigan win six wins on the mound this season. He made 14 starts, earning a team-best 2.32 ERA, fifth in the conference.

Foley was named MAC West Pitcher of the Week twice this season and was placed on the Pitcher of the Year Watch List.

The Colony, Texas, native has held opposing batters to a .199 average this season, top in the MAC. Foley has 89 strikeouts this year, including a career high 12 against Northern Illinois on April 12. He has two double-digit strikeout games, and pitched a complete game at West Virginia on March 8.

Foley was a 26th round draft pick of the New York Yankees in the 2011 MLB Draft.
