Mount Pleasant, Mich. - The Gold Team took a 2-0 series lead in the annual Fall World Series by beating the Maroon Team 5-1 on Saturday afternoon. The Gold team scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back.

Gold starter Jimmy McNamara turned in a solid performance striking out seven while going seven strong innings, giving up one run on six hits.
